I congratulate Tracy Daszkiewicz on her election as Faculty President and Zafar Iqbal on his election as Vice-President, as well as our three new General Board Members.
I have worked closely with Tracy in her role as Vice-President and Zafar in his role of Local Board Member for the West Midlands during my Presidency, and am confident that the Faculty will go from strength to strength under their leadership.
I look forward to the final period of my term in office as we continue to deliver on our Organisational Strategy and Strategic Focus Areas, playing a leading role in assuring an effective public health workforce, promoting public health knowledge, and advocating for the reduction of inequalities and for the very best conditions for health and wellbeing to flourish.”
FPH President-elect Tracy Daszkiewicz said “I am deeply grateful and privileged to have been elected to the role of President of the Faculty of Public Health, and am honoured by the trust and confidence Faculty members have placed in me.
We stand at a pivotal moment where the challenges and opportunities for public health have never been greater. Tackling health inequalities remains at the forefront of our mission and we must strive to ensure that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to the resources they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
Our commitment to fairness extends to our dedicated workforce. Ensuring that our public health family are equipped, supported, and valued is essential for achieving our shared goals. Together, we must foster an environment that encourages growth, innovation, and resilience within our teams.
As we move forward, I am confident that through our collective efforts, we can make significant strides in improving public health outcomes and addressing the disparities that persist in our communities.
I thank our members once again for this incredible honour. I look forward to working with you all to achieve our shared vision for a safer, stronger, healthier, fairer society.”
