Illegal Money Lending: poverty, safety, victim support and crime prevention
Illegal money lending is one of the biggest drivers of debt and poverty. Research estimates that 1.08 million people in England are using illegal money lenders and over one in ten users of these services have contemplated taking their own life.
This webinar, brought to you by the Centre for Health and Development (CHAD) and the Faculty of Public Health, will explore this issue and focus on how illegal money lenders operate and how the England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) is combatting loan sharks.
