The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) is delighted to announce that we will be joined by Professor Sir Frank Atherton, immediate-past Chief Medical Officer for Wales, for our sixth Distinguished Lecture. Frank will reflect on his long career, and specifically on delivering public health in a politically charged environment.

Professor Sir Frank Atherton will be joined by a panel of experts, including:

  • Professor Kevin Fenton, FPH President
  • Professor Peter Kelly, Regional Director for Public Health for the North East & Yorkshire
  • Professor Nicola Steedman, Deputy Chief Medical Officer to the Scottish Government
  • Dr Clare Oliver-Williams, Co-Chair of the FPH Specialty Registrars Committee

This series of online lectures aims to bring together public health leaders and experts to provide ‘thought leadership’ on the future of public health practice and training, increase visibility and understanding of the critical work performed by public health, and engage with FPH members and the wider public health workforce.

This event is free for FPH members, the price for non-members is £20.
