Changing the narrative of Housing First in England
Staffordshire University’s Centre for Health and Development (CHAD) and the Faculty of Public Health have collaborated on an annual health and inequalities conference since 2018. For this academic year we are hosting a series of bimonthly webinars around health and social inequalities.
Colleagues are invited to attend the fourth webinar in this series. Housing First has been steadily expanding in England over the last 12 years, with over 100 services in every region of the country. The Government has committed to the continued delivery of the Housing First through the Rough Sleeping Strategy, Ending Rough Sleeping for Good and the Rough Sleeping Initiative Fund 2022-2025, but what happens beyond this?
In this webinar, Alex Smith, Senior Project Manager at Homeless Link, will discuss the future of Housing First in England and how we change the narrative of Housing First as a rough sleeping intervention, to a whole systems approach.
This one hour-session will include:
- Chair's welcome
- Discussion around changing the narrative of Housing First in England: Alex Smith, Senior project manager at Homeless Link
- Panel discussion
- Chair's concluding remarks
Details on how to join the online event will be emailed to all those who register in advance.
